Patients Do Better When Services Integrate Better

Patients Do Better When Services Integrate Better

Healthcare is full of boundaries.

Between hospitals. Between specialties. Between teams. Between the clinicians who stabilise a critically ill patient and those who retrieve them.

Patients, of course, don’t recognise any of them.

One of the things we’ve enjoyed most about developing the ResusPro Workshop has been seeing it become a place where different parts of the system can train together.

This year we’ve supported three update days for the East of England Paediatric & Neonatal Decision Support and Retrieval Service – PaNDR (pandreastofengland.co.uk).

They’ve brought their people, expertise – and even their retrieval ambulance – into ResusPro to practise the complex realities of stabilising and retrieving critically ill children and neonates.

This sort of training helps everyone understand how teams connect, what each needs from the other, and how we can better support the retrieval process.

And we’re proud that ResusPro can help us do that.

Next up, we’re delighted to be hosting the PEMEast Face-to-Face Teaching Day on 17 November — bringing the East of England Paediatric Emergency Medicine community to ResusPro for a day focused on paediatric trauma.

Different teams. Different organisations. Different parts of the patient journey.

Learning together, before we need to work together.
