What to Expect
Trauma+ combines damage control resuscitation, team member and team leader skills in the ED. Scenarios build on European Trauma Course and Advanced Trauma Life Support Course principles and address each of the damage control resuscitation (DCR) strategies available to trauma teams. Through six immersive and high-fidelity trauma scenarios, delegates will refine their rapid assessment skills, procedural competence, and team-based decision-making under expert supervision. The course replicates the intensity of real-world trauma resuscitation and challenges participants to perform in a high-pressure environment where leadership, teamwork, and communication are critical to optimal outcomes. The course covers the zero point survey, emergency airway management, lung protective ventilation strategies, identification and management of shock, haemostatic resuscitation, massive transfusion, neuroprotection and wound management.
